RON HORNER ACS
Ron Horner was an early President of the Society; indeed he was the second cinematographer to head the Executive. Ron was a cameraman at Cine sound Studios and set a fine example of first class news photography during his many years at Cinesound.
After the start of television Ron joined the staff of Visatone Studios at North Sydney and later joined the Artransa Studios complex at Frenchs Forest.
In 1962 he was editor of the Society's first magazine, a simple roneoed publication entitled Australian Cinematographers Society (Official Edition).
In all his years with the Society he served on many executive committees. Ron Horner was granted Accreditation Certificate No. 20.
ERNIE CLARK ACS
Ernie Clark joined the film industry with Browning Productions at the age of 15.
He was trained by the very talented Volk Mol and Malcolm Richards as a camera assistant and after intensive training joined Total Film and Video Productions as a lighting cameraman. His filming career developed by shooting commercials, later large scale drama productions and then into feature film cinematography, later starting his own film production company.
Ernie Clark has been a staunch supporter of the Australian Cinematographers Society during his years in the Industry. He has served on a number of South Australian State committees and was elected State President in 1993 and 1994. Currently he is secretary of the South Australian Branch and a member of the Federal Executive.
He was granted Accreditation in 1983 and holds Certificate No. 145.
