• 2007 AFI Awards
  Australian Cinematographer Society members Malcolm Ludgate ACS, Joel Peterson and Mark Lapwood ACS received awards at this years AFI Industry awards
• 2007 Walkley Awards
  NSW Australian Cinematographers Society member and ABC Cinematographer Andrew Taylor ACS was awarded this years TV News and Current Affairs Camera at the Walkley Awards
• ACS becomes IMAGO Associate Member
  ACS Federal President Ted Rayment ACS attended the recent IMAGO General assembly in The Netherlands, where the ACS was accepted in as an Associate Member. Ted's report is a must read for all members as some of the topics under discussion at the meeting are as relevant here in Australia as they are in Europe
• ACS now on facebook
  The Australian Cinematographers Society has joined the facebook revolution... If you're a facebook member, add 'Australian Cinematographers Society' to your groups list
• ACS to become IMAGO Associate Member
  IMAGO the European Federation of Cinematographers has invited ACS to join as an associate member, which will be ratified at their council meeting in early 2008.
• AFTRS Graduates
  Andrew McLeod (left) was awarded the High Achievement in Cinematography Awards at the recent AFTRS 2006 Graduation Ceremony Held in Sydney. Also Graduating with Masters in Cinematography were Bonnie Elliott, Devris Hasan and Craig Jackson
• Ben Nott ACS wins coveted Hollywood Award
  Australian Cinematographer Ben Nott ACS has won top honours in the the coveted American Society of Cinematographers award for excellence for Best Mini Series for his work on The Company for producers Ridley & Tony Scott.
• Carl Robertson Triumphs In Kodak Filmschool Competition
  Australian Film Television & Radio School graduate, Carl Robertson has taken out first prize in the Australian national competition of the 2006 Kodak Filmschool Competition.
• Film greats launch 50th year for ACS
  300 members and industry luminaries gathered at the Transport Room of Sydney's Powerhouse Museum to celebrate the Launch of the Australian Cinematographers Society's 50th Anniversary...
• Five Accreditations Accepted in 2007
  Five Cinematographers were this year accredited by the Society at the Accreditation Screenings held on September 15... and Long Standing Federal Vice President Ron Johanson ACS is presented Life Membership
• John Stokes wins ASC Award
  Queensland Cinematographer John Stokes ACS has picked up an ASC award for his work on Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King (Umney's Last Case) on February 18 at a lavish ceremony in Hollywood
• Panavision's Martin Cayzer to chair Ausfilm
  Ausfilm has appointed Panavision Australia Managing Director Martin Cayzer as Chairman of Ausfilm for a two-year term. Ausfilm's elected Board, which comprises senior representatives of the screen-services sector in Australia, chooses the Chairman, in addition to two Deputy Chairs.
• RED Workshop Day
  The ACS was given the opportunity to host a hands on RED workshop at Fox Studios in Sydney. Members from as far away as Perth & Victoria made the trip, which goes to show the interest the RED phenomenon has created
