FILM AUSTRALIA ROXY THEATRE, ETON ROAD, LINDFIELD FROM 7.00pm
VIDEOCRAFT have recently taken delivery of a brand new Sony HDCAM SR production system, putting the highest quality HD format into the reach of Australian DOP's and producers. The 2/3" HD camera produces full 1920 x 1080 resolution images at up to 60 frames per second progressive scan. The camera can be fitted with a broad range of production accessories including a range of HD cine style lenses, but it is small and light enough to be used handheld if required, as there is no recorder in camera. Come along and touch, feel and see the demonstration.

ACS NATIONAL AWARDS FOR CINEMATOGRAPHY in Adelaide.
This is the ACS night of nights when Adelaide and the ACS goes all glam. The National Awards, The Ross Wood ACS Award and the International Cinematographer Award, with good food and drink and we are pleased to advise the Guest of Honour is Don McAlpine ACS, ASC. Booking and other information is in this FOCUS. Try and get to Adelaide for the weekend Awards and stay over and visit the wineries. You deserve a holiday.
MONDAY 14TH MAY
The Panavision HD Roadshow
FILM AUSTRALIA ROXY THEATRE, ETON ROAD, LINDFIELD FROM 7.00pm
Panavision will showcase the range of HD equipment to ACS members so they may better understand what is available for their next HD production. On display fresh from NAB will be the Genesis camera, Sony F900 & 900R cameras, Hylen System, Cmotion Lens Control System and HDV cameras with Panavision personnel on hand. A number of short 35mm film outs from the Genesis will be screened. You may bring a guest.

MEMBERS TRADE NIGHT WITH APPLE’S FINAL CUT PRO
Apple Mac will give members an insight into the changing face of media and the concept of owning your content. Dedicated to training, the Academy Store will provide information and training on Apple’s suite of broadcast editing products Final Cut Studio and can provide all the tools to get you from raw footage to finished content. Apple, Sony and Panasonic will be present with their latest products from NAB. Spaces are limited and this evening is only available to financial ACS members.
